On the 12th we went downtown Dallas and toured the Sixth Floor Museum, the JFK assassination site. It is a very well put together museum that gives you a great look into what happened that day in November 1963 and the days after. We spent a good two hours reading, watching and listening to all the information. Afterwards we toured Dealey Plaza and the Grassy Knoll. The kids learned a lot. We don’t know what made Kathleen sadder. The terrible thing that happened to JFK or that it was her birthday. She wasn’t happy about getting older. We tried to make the day special for her by taking her shopping and out to dinner, but she really didn’t buy anything and would barely have any of the dessert we got for her. She had a good day after-all though because we were all together but did miss Thomas a lot and wished he was there with us.
